Death To Humans was originally released in 2023 as an NFT Book. It was an experiment on how to write, publish and make money without any connection to corporations. It was limited to 1000 copies, published between two NFT networks and sold out. The author wanted to focus on truly being independent, not the standard: “Hey, I’m an independent author, buy my latest book at <insert Amazon link here>.”
The blockchain provided total freedom and independence, but it’s also in its infancy as a new technology and most consumers are yet to fully grasp how to safely acquire books through blockchain and wallets. Step two is to offer a consumable product outside of corporations. Death To Humans was released on October 31, 2025 exclusively on the independent shop Miskatonic Books as a 3D web book.

The Collection
Death to Humans by Patrick Kill (the alter ego of Shane Ryan Staley) is a lost artifact of underground horror—an unholy fusion of Bizarro surrealism and Splatterpunk savagery that carved out its own deranged sub-genre: Blasphemicore. Written in the 1990s and 2000s, these stories capture the unfiltered rebellion of an author who turned shock into art and absurdity into revelation.
In this collection, Kill dismantles every illusion of civility. “The Boy with the Razor-Sharp Teeth” turns childhood cruelty into a grotesque fairy tale of loneliness and revenge. “Demonica & the Dream House” drags domestic fantasy into demonic pornography. “The Day Mr. Langford Cracked” and “The Hunter King” dissect the American dream with surgical madness, while “Clitorissa + the Incredible Edible Leg” and “Chocolate Jesus” wage war on religion, morality, and the fragile human body. Each tale bleeds into the next, building toward the apocalyptic psychosis of “Psychotica,” where God himself becomes the tormentor.
Death to Humans is not just horror—it’s a manifesto of creative anarchy, born from a time when fiction was photocopied, censored, and traded like contraband. Kill’s prose is savage, darkly funny, and fearless in its exploration of sex, death, and divinity. Beneath the grotesque spectacle lies something hauntingly sincere: a howl against conformity, hypocrisy, and the slow extinction of empathy in the modern age.
Reissued for a new generation, this definitive edition restores the complete text and celebrates a writer who helped define the modern underground. Equal parts satire, nightmare, and divine blasphemy, Death to Humans stands as one of the most important and audacious works in contemporary transgressive horror—a delirious testament to what happens when the monster finally turns on mankind.
